  2. Enter the purchase price per share in the "Purchase Price" field.
  3. Enter the selling price per share in the "Selling Price" field.
  4. Optionally, enter the transaction fee in the "Transaction Fee" field.
  5. Click the "Calculate Profit/Loss" button to see the total profit or loss from the stock trade.
  6. The result will be displayed below the button, showing the breakdown of cost, revenue, and net profit or loss.

How to Calculate Stock Profit Manually

To manually calculate stock profit or loss, follow these steps:

  1. Determine the number of shares bought or sold.
  2. Multiply the number of shares by the purchase price to calculate the total cost.
  3. Multiply the number of shares by the selling price to calculate the total revenue.
  4. Subtract the transaction fees from the total revenue.
  5. Calculate the net profit or loss by subtracting the total cost from the total revenue (after transaction fees).
  6. Example: If you bought 100 shares at $50 each, sold them at $60 each, and paid a $10 transaction fee, the calculation would be:
    • Total Cost: 100 × $50 = $5,000
    • Total Revenue: 100 × $60 = $6,000
    • Total Revenue after Fees: $6,000 - $10 = $5,990
    • Net Profit: $5,990 - $5,000 = $990
